ADAPTIL Transport Spray is a synthetic copy of the dog appeasing pheromone, a natural signal of comfort and security for dogs and puppies. The spray helps dogs feel reassured and relaxed during stressful travel or challenging situations.
ADAPTIL Transport Spray begins working once applied, but always allow at least 15 minutes for the alcohol to evaporate before your dog enters the car, carrier, or space.
If your dog shows signs of travel discomfort such as panting, trembling, restlessness, drooling, or vomiting, apply the spray in the car, on bedding, or inside an empty carrier.
For car trips, vet visits, or any planned travel, spray ADAPTIL Transport Spray in the car, in your dog's empty carrier, or on a blanket that will be used during the journey.
Reapply every 1.5 to 2 hours for longer trips.
ADAPTIL Transport Spray is not designed to treat motion sickness. Avoid feeding your dog for at least 6 hours before travel to reduce nausea, but do not restrict water.
ADAPTIL will not help if your dog's behaviour is unrelated to stress. It will not assist with hyperactivity, over excitement, lack of training, or lack of environmental stimulation.
If your dog soils the car due to toilet training issues or medical conditions, ADAPTIL will not resolve the behaviour. Consult your veterinarian to rule out medical concerns.
ADAPTIL must never be used in cases of aggression towards humans or other dogs. Seek guidance from your veterinarian or a veterinary behaviourist.
